More faith

Bible references
– Matthew 17:20
He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”

– Mark 11:22-24
And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

– Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Father,

You are the giver of all good gifts, and I come before You today to ask for the gift of more faith. I want to trust You more fully, to rely on You in every circumstance, and to believe in Your promises with unwavering confidence. Please increase my faith and help me to walk in the assurance that You are always with me, guiding and providing for me.

I confess that there are times when I doubt and waver in my trust in You. I ask for Your forgiveness for those moments and for the strength to overcome my doubts. Please help me to fix my eyes on You and to remember all the ways You have been faithful in the past. I want to live a life of faith that glorifies and honors You in all that I do.

I know that faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of Christ (Romans 10:17), so I ask for a hunger and thirst for Your word. Help me to meditate on Your promises, to stand firm in Your truth, and to be rooted and grounded in the knowledge of Your love for me. Thank You, Father, for hearing my prayer and for giving me the gift of faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
